Terms of Service

Welcome to Xcrow. By accessing or using our website and services, you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use Xcrow.

1. What Xcrow Is

Xcrow provides a link-based escrow service that allows buyers and sellers to securely exchange funds for goods or services. Xcrow is not a marketplace, not a broker, and not a party to the transaction between buyer and seller.

We facilitate payment holding and conditional release only.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into contracts to use Xcrow.

3. User Responsibilities

By using Xcrow, you agree that:

  • All information you provide is accurate and truthful
  • You will not use Xcrow for illegal, fraudulent, or prohibited transactions
  • You are solely responsible for the item or service being exchanged
  • You will comply with all applicable laws and regulations

Xcrow does not verify items, shipments, identities, or descriptions.

4. Escrow Process Overview

  1. Seller creates an escrow and shares a link
  2. Buyer funds the escrow
  3. Buyer and seller complete the exchange offline
  4. Buyer releases funds, or funds auto-release after a defined period
  5. Seller receives payout minus platform fees

Details are governed by the Escrow Rules.

5. Fees

Xcrow charges a platform fee disclosed at the time of escrow creation. Fees are deducted upon fund release and are non-refundable once services are rendered.

6. Disputes

If a dispute is opened, funds are temporarily held while Xcrow performs a manual review. Xcrow may request evidence from one or both parties. Decisions are final for the purpose of escrow fund release.

7. Prohibited Uses

You may not use Xcrow for:

  • Illegal goods or services
  • Weapons, drugs, or controlled substances
  • Stolen property
  • Financial scams or fraud
  • Transactions that violate Stripe's Acceptable Use Policy

Xcrow reserves the right to suspend or terminate access at any time.

8. Limitation of Liability

Xcrow is not responsible for:

  • Item quality or condition
  • Shipping delays or failures
  • Misrepresentation by either party
  • Losses outside the escrowed amount

Our liability is limited to the amount of funds held in escrow for the transaction.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or misuse the service.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of Xcrow constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
